Soul Mining: Four Contemporary Artists

March 22 - April 24, 2014 [Upper Gallery]

reception: Saturday, March 22, 2014 3:30 - 5:30pm

Emergence
by Ellen Rolli

The Copley Society of Art is proud to present artists Beatrice Dauge, Barbara Leiner, Carol O'Neill, and Ellen Rolli in the group exhibit
Soul Mining: Four Contemporary Artists. All are dedicated abstract painters focused

on what it means to live in our time. Shape, color and form become the visual expression of emotions and actions, a tangible manifestation of the artist. The canvas acts as a space to express thoughts and to form ideas, where the artwork becomes a physical form of consciousness. Soul Mining explores the meaning and aesthetics of the subconscious.

This exhibition is proudly sponsored by Deborah Chandler of RE/Max Leading Edge Realtors.

Beth Dacey: That Was Then
January 15 - April 15, 2014 [ Boston Private Bank ]

Two Women
 by Beth Dacey
The eleventh installment at our offsite exhibition space showcases a collection of paintings by artist member Beth Dacey. Located at the Boston Private Bank in the Prudential Center (800 Boylston Street, Boston), "That Was Then" steps back in time. The three large canvases feature figures from vintage photographs, a nostalgic view of the lifestyle of the '50s and '60s.
