Summer Rain
by Kate Taylor

The Copley Society of Art is pleased to announce Nature Present , the first solo exhibition in the United States by international artist Kate Taylor.

Influenced by artist Claude Monet and Dale Chihuly, her work has progressed from an exploration of organic nature through photography to abstraction of natural forms through paint. Taylor works primarily with a palette knife, mixing acrylic colors directly on stained birch panels. She then coats the painted panel with a fine transparent resin. This unique treatment of the surface creates a pristine reflective finish, giving the artwork an added depth and texture.
