Co-ops to take part in historic Calgary Stampede Parade
International Year of Co-operatives, local co-ops featured in pinnacle
July 6 event Local co-ops and International Year of the Co-operatives (IYC) will be featured in this year's historic Calgary Stampede Parade, dubbed the largest in the event's history.
The Calgary Stampede is marking its 100-year anniversary, and as a result is attracting international widespread interest. International Year of Co-operatives Hot Spots Each week ACCA news will mention those locations around the province where IYC activities are taking place. In the next couple of months there are many exciting event happening all over Alberta. We would also like to post pictures of your event or short videos (perhaps with a greeting from the co-ops in your community to the co-ops in the rest of Alberta!). Calgary Event: Stampeding Co-ops A Stampeding Co-ops Walk from Prairie Sky to local co-ops. This walk will feature the IYC logo and will be followed by a 5:30 p.m. potluck barbeque, meat will be provided, bring salads and dessert. Dinner followed by the IYC band.
