Call for Proposals

Deadline: June 29, 2018

CoTESOL 42nd Annual Fall Convention and Exhibition
  November 2-3, 2018
Radisson Hotel Denver Southeast

Greetings CoTESOL Members and Esteemed Colleagues,

This year, CoTESOL continues a 42-year tradition of sharing teaching ideas and practices that foster innovation, collegiality, and transformation in the field of English language teaching and learning. This year's theme, "Engagement, Encouragement, Empowerment", was chosen by the CoTESOL board to highlight our shared efforts to support English language learners in these challenging and exciting times. On behalf of the CoTESOL board, I'd like to invite you to submit a proposal in order to share your expertise and to celebrate your accomplishments in engaging, encouraging, and empowering learners at CoTESOL's 42nd Convention this coming fall. We will convene at the Radisson Hotel Denver Southeast on Friday and Saturday, November 2nd and 3rd, 2018.
I would like to reiterate that CoTESOL is committed to offering a wide variety of experiences within this venue, so that, while it is true that you will get to hear and interact with some of the most admired practitioners in the field, we also offer a supportive environment for first-time presenters. With this in mind, would those of you who are experienced presenters and educational leaders please consider inviting less experienced colleagues or students to share their work? Likewise, if you have never presented at the annual CoTESOL convention, please consider sharing your ideas for how you have made your practice effective, fun or more engaging to students. If you would like more support for a first-time effort, we can pair you with an experienced board member who will help you review your presentation. Whether you're in elementary, secondary, postsecondary, or adult education, or whether you work in the classroom or in an administrative role, we can all learn something from one another.

Proposals can be submitted online through the link above. A wide variety of presentation formats exist for showcasing your work including panel discussions, poster sessions, demonstrating new media techniques, or presenting research. Please submit your proposal by Friday, June 29th, 2018. Be a part of the Colorado Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages' effort to celebrate our creativity, passion and ongoing work.
