A Coaching Tip from Breakthrough Strategies
Greetings!

So many of us struggle with time management!

Last week I had the opportunity to present on Boosting Personal Productivity and recently walked a client through some of the following steps to create a stronger structure for success.  Every action that can be made routine will take away moment-to-moment decision-making that, in turn, leaves our willpower available for more important tasks and decisions.  How to make that happen?  Here are a few ideas:
  • Define daily, weekly, and monthly tasks you will commit to completing and then create appointments in your calendar for these tasks.  i.e. Each day set aside a 30-minute time slot to call potential clients or create a 2-hour appointment once a month to run reports.
  • Reserve your most productive hours for your hardest work.  For most people, productivity is strongest in the morning - take advantage of that time to do your best work!
  • Manage your email by setting aside time specifically to complete the task (versus letting it interrupt your work all day long).
Implementing these and other small changes to managing routine tasks is sure to result in greater productivity.

Productively yours,

Carolyn Baana, ACC, MBA
