The Coalition is excited to announce that we just received approval from the Office of Early Learning to increase certain full-time Coalition maximum reimbursement rates.
The increases are being aligned to meet 75% of current market rates in Pinellas County.
The age categories that are impacted are infants through 5 year olds for FCCH providers and infants, 3's, 4's, and 5 year olds for centers.
Certain full-time Coalition maximum reimbursement rates are effective March 1, 2017.
Any changes to your private rates will be effective the date they are received by the Coalition via the Portal.
HOW this will affect you:
If you would like to change your private rates for the remainder of the 2016-17 program year, you must complete a new reimbursement rate schedule Exhibit 3 and upload the form to the REIMB_SR-Holidays and Rates folder in your Portal document library. Changes to these rates will be effective the date they are received by the Coalition (see paragraph 43 of your SR Provider Contract).
If you only intend to change your private rates for 2017-18 and you have already completed a 2017-18 SR Provider Contract in Portal, you must also complete a new reimbursement rate schedule Exhibit 3 and upload the form to the REIMB_SR-Holidays and Rates folder in your Portal document library. Changes will be entered by Coalition staff and will be effective with the start of your new contract.
Please note that continued SR reimbursement rates levels are contingent on funding from the Office of Early Learning.
When communicating rate changes to parents, please refer to paragraph 44 of your SR Provider Contract which states:
PROVIDER acknowledges that it is prohibited from charging parents receiving SR services, a higher rate than that charged to private pay parents. In addition to the parent co-payment assessed by the COALITION, PROVIDER must provide the parent with a list of any fees it charges and, if applicable, written notice of the difference between the private pay rate and SR reimbursement prior to the parent enrolling his/her child in PROVIDER's SR Program. PROVIDER is prohibited from charging any fees other than the parent co-payment or those fees provided to the parent on the fee list described above
