Early Packet Pickup

TWO Options for Early Packet Pickup!
Packet Pickup - Reminder: Bring your ID!
VIPs:
We will have a SPECIAL VIP line for you at early packet pickup!
Early packet pickup is not mandatory but recommended. You can pick up your bib, t-shirt and goody bag early and to save time on race morning. Please bring your photo ID.
All participants must check in to pick up their race bib - even the kids! Everyone must show ID. Parents can pick up on behalf of children who do not have ID's. Parents will be required to show their ID.

Race Day Packet Pickup Opens at 5:30am.
*Race day packet pickup is located near the start line, which is located near SOAK CITY (not Knott's Main Entrance)!
VIPs: If you don't pick up your packet on Friday or Saturday, please visit the VIP area to pick up your bib on race morning. NOT the General Packet Pickup area!

Picking Up Bibs for Someone Else
(Early Packet Pickup ONLY)

If you want to pick up for someone else, make sure you have a
copy of their ID (picture/text is accepted)
AND a signed copy of the 3 page event waiver (signatures needed on pages 2 and 3). No Exceptions.

Bib and Chip Notes:
If you registered before February 12, your name will be under your bib number and your Corral Number will be listed on the left side. We will have dedicated security on site checking you're entering the correct corral.
BIB ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE MADE BY THURSDAY
Gemini will send you a separate email with Bib #
- Everyone must show ID to pick up their bib/chip.
- Chip number and bib number must match
- Chip must be attached to shoe with provided twist ties
- Chip must be returned at the finish line

Option 1:
Park in the Sears lot at the Buena Park Downtown mall on the corner of Stanton and La Palma. It's a short walk to the race start from there. Walk across Stanton and there will be an open gate adjacent to the race start. Follow directions from Volunteers, who will be in
PURPLE SHIRTS this year!
There is also parking available in the Knott's General Lot but that fills up early and fast.

7:00 am Start for 5K and 10K
(wave start)
Reminders:
- Your corral number is listed on your bib.
- Line up in the correct corral. Security will be checking bibs.
- Strollers and walkers line up in the back of your corral.
5K
The 5K Run/Walk will start in the parking lot of Knott'
s Berry Farm and travel through the Beach Blvd. underpass and make a right on Grand Ave. Participants will then travel through the actual Knott
'
s Berry Farm theme park before exiting again back on Grand. After traveling past the famous Mrs. Knott
'
s Fried Chicken Restaurant and under the Silver Bullet roller coaster, participants will run back through the Beach Blvd. underpass. Keep a look out for Independence Hall before entering Soak City Water Park. Participants will be almost home as they exit onto Stanton and at this point it
'
s only 0.10 of a mile before they get their medal and slice of Boysenberry pie.
WATER: There is 1 water station on the 5K route.

10K
The 10K Run follows the same 5K course, but from Stanton will continue out on the streets of Buena Park to finish off their extra 3.1 miles. 10K Participants will enjoy seeing the surrounding neighborhoods and Buena Park Downtown Shopping Center before returning back to the Knott's Berry Farm Parking lot.
WATER: There are 4 water stations on the 10K route.

Kids Run
The Kids Run will travel through Camp Snoopy this year and Peanuts characters will be there to greet the little runners!

Park Entry
|
All races run through the park.
VIPs Pick up your FREE Ticket to Knott's Berry Farm at the VIP Area on Race Day - Remember the ticket is good until April 6th!
After the Race:
All participants will receive a coupon good for 1/2 price adult admission to Knott's Berry Farm (good for up to 4 people, not senior tickets). Junior tickets will be discounted to $36 - a savings of $6 from the regular price. Valid from packet pickup (March 4) through April 6th.
Show the coupon to the Knott's cashier when buying your tickets.
You will receive your coupon along with your bib at Packet Pickup.

Runner Gear Check
|
BRING A BAG!
Drop off your personal belongings at the start line in the Knott's Berry Farm parking lot (Gear Check is located near the FINISH LINE/MEDICAL TENT). Items must be dropped no later than 7:00 am and need to be picked up by 10:30 am. Please do not include items of value including: cell phones, keys, credit cards or money. Renegade Racing will not be responsible for lost items.
VIPs: We'll have a special gear check just for you in the VIP area!

AWARDS/AGE GROUPS:
Awards will be given to the top 3 men and women in each age division.
5K & 10K age groups are as follows: 13 & Under, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-59, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

Other FAQs
|
- What if it rains? All races will go on Rain or Shine. We'll be there and we hope you will be too!
- May I change from the 5K to the 10K (I'm ready!)? Or from 10K to 5K (I didn't train enough!)? Yes. Please visit the solutions desk at packet pickup. There will be an upgrade fee. No refunds for downgrading.
- Do I need my ID? Yes. Everyone must show ID when picking up their packets. Parents can show their own ID when picking up their child's packet.
- May I run or walk with a stroller? If you are planning on using a jog stroller, please start in the stroller corral towards the back of the pack. Your corral number will be on your bib but if you didn't tell us you're bringing a stroller, please go to the stroller corral anyway. If you gave us your pace with your jog stroller you may start in your assigned corral. The point is be courteous. Stay to the right unless passing. If you're slower, make sure to start in the back.
- Will my child receive a medal? Kids who are in strollers during the 5K or 10K SHOULD NOT receive a medal at the finish line unless they are registered for that race.
- Does the Kids Race Have Medals? Yes. Kids who are in the 1K will receive a medal at their own finish line.
- May I Run with my Child in the Kids Race? Yes. Children are allowed one adult to accompany them in the Kids Race. Adults who want to receive a t-shirt and medal for the 1K Kids Run MUST have registered for that event as an adult.
- May I Bring my 4 Legged Friend? No. Except Service Animals. Due to theme park rules and liability, dogs, cats, and other animals are not permitted on the course except for certified service dogs.
- May I Transfer my Entry to Someone Else? Sorry - race transfers are not permitted. See the Additional Information on the website for a complete set of Race Rules.
- Is there a Spectator Fee? No. But spectators are not allowed inside the park. There is great viewing of the start line and finish line in the parking lot near Soak City.
