  • NEW Website launches - thanks to Education Team and Mopdog for the great work
  • TV23 filmed commentary supporting our work from 4 community leaders

  • Statewide Alcohol Policy Workgroup
  • Community Prevention Alliance Workgroup; met twice re: DBHDD alcohol awareness campaign - coming soon!

    Our faith 
    partners play a vital role in helping to realize our vision and mission, including: 

    1) Support parents and caregivers in their roles as mentors and monitors, 2) Create friendly alcohol-free places and programs where youth can gather, volunteer and succeed without alcohol, and 3) Make it easier for young people who are involved in high risk drinking or at risk for alcohol dependence to get help. THANKS TO ALL OUR OUTSTANDING FAITH PARTNERS.  Follow the 'shout outs' to faith partners on Facebook and Twitter throughout December.     

    Taskforce Happenings 

      

    NEW Website, same URL - is going to launch today! We'll be featuring a walk through the new site at our meeting next week - don't miss it. There's lots of new user-friendly features...we hope you find it engaging and will visit and share with others often. We want to hear what you think! 


    December 4, 2012 Bi-monthly meeting
    - we'll be planning for 2013, so bring your new calendars! We're meeting at Cobb Central Library in Marietta - from 2-4 p.m. Please come and bring a friend.

    December 6, 2012 GA Gives Day - share link with friends, family and colleagues to help raise funds for your favorite non-profit, Cobb Alcohol Taskforce!   
     
    December 20, 2012 National UDETC Electronic Seminar: Maximizing Today's Technology to Reduce Underage Drinking! 

    February 2, 2013 Youth Council Summit
    - see event registration site and share with those in your networks to help get youth registered to attend! 

    Volunteers Needed - check out our calendar page and join in any of the scheduled team meetings where you can! All are welcomed and appreciated...there's lots to do, and each team needs more volunteers.
