Through a collaboration with the Columbia Greene Reading Council, GCRTC teachers are invited to join in the bus trip to Teachers College, Columbia University, NYC, for an entire day of no cost professional learning!
The Reading and Writing Project at Columbia Teachers College offers this full day of FREE professional development sessions. Workshops will be led by Lucy Calkins, all senior leaders and staff developers at the Project, Kathy Collins, Carl Anderson, and many others. Click

Date:Saturday, March 18 Time: Departure @ 6:00 am from Thruway Exit 21 (Catkskill) and 6:30 am from Thruway Exit 19 (Kingston). Return @ 5:30 pm to exit 19 and 6:00 pm to exit 21.
Cost: $25.00 pp (no refunds) for
round trip bus transportation. Payments should be made to the Columbia Greene Reading Council.

Steven Weinberg writes and illustrates kids' books from his
studio nestled deep in the Catskills.
He is the author and illustrator of Rex Finds an Egg! Egg! Egg! and You Must Be This Tall and illustrator of Beard Boy. Come for a mixture of story time and a presentation about his process and joys of making children's literature.
