This morning, the 2.6 million dollar Heart K loan was paid off in full.
Now it's time to celebrate! The Feather River Land Trust and the Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce invite you to:
Heart K Celebration and Mixer Friday, June 3, 2011 6:00 - 9:00pm Heart K Ranch, Genesee Valley (directions here)
Main course (turkey breast) and drinks provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Please RSVP by Wednesday, June 1 to kkleven@frlt.org or (530) 283-5758 How did it happen? The California Wildlife Conservation Board funded the purchase of a $1,075,000 conservation easement on the property, to be held by the California Department of Fish and Game. That, with a generous $1.6 million contribution from the Northern Sierra Partnership and gifts from countless dedicated members like you was enough to pay off the 2.6 million bridge loan from the David & Lucile Packard Foundation. This has been a tremendous community effort nearly 10 years in the making! We are so grateful for our generous community of volunteers, donors, and friends who helped keep the dream alive and made this day possible. We truly couldn't have done it without you. Thank you! Come celebrate with us. You deserve it.
