ISC Heirloom is deep in character - earthy, with lots of dark berry mixed with biscuit notes. It has a dry, tannin feel with a rustic finish. This is definitely a red wine drinker's sparkling wine. Try it with dinner; rose sparkling wines are known for their versatility with food.

Wine Riot Chicago - June 1-2, Great Hall at Union Station, Chicago
With two parts education and one part revolution, Wine Riot has reinvented "wine tasting" for the thirsty and curious. Grab a glass and hit the floor -- it's you unleashed against 250 wines from across the globe, including your favorites from Illinois Sparkling Co. Fueling your night of conquest is a tireless DJ, photo booth, temporary tattoos, and a few thousand of your closest friends. Choose from three different riots: Opening Night from 7-11 pm on June 1 ($60/ticket); Riot 1 from 1-5 pm on June 2 ($50/ticket); or Riot 2 from 7-11 pm on June 2 ($50/ticket).

Enjoy Illinois wines and local products at this outdoor festival. Tickets are $15/person and include tasting glass and seven tastings. Additional tickets may be purchased during the event.
AHW and ISC are going to be pouring at this event so please stop by and see us! You can enjoy lobster (fresh from Maine) and the smooth sounds of jazz at this outdoor festival. Order tickets online today (lobster must be pre-ordered online by June 5.)
Red Cross Tasting - June 15, 5:30-8:30 pm, A Hundred Acre Orchard, Ottawa
AHW will feature our white wines at this tasting event. Sample beer and wine from around the world and appetizers from area food vendors. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 at the door. Get your tickets by calling (815) 879-2231 or stop by the Prouty Building, Central Bank in Princeton, Spring Valley City Bank, or Citizens First State Bank in Walnut.
CigarBQue - June 21, 6-9 pm, Beyond Design, 4515 North Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago
AHW and ISC will be served at this charitable event in support of the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation. Join top chefs from around the country for an exclusive evening of food, cigars, cocktails, beer & wine.
Dixon Wine & Beer Festival - June 23, 6-9 pm, Dixon Riverfront
August Hill Winery is pouring wine at this annual event. Enjoy samples of wine, beer and food for $20 per person. If purchased prior to June 23, receive 12 tasting tickets; receive 8 tickets if purchased day of event. Tickets can be purchased at The Crystal Cork Wine Shoppe, Dixon Main Street, and Trein's Jewelry Store in Dixon.
