Come Together! 8/23/15

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
I awoke (PTL) this morning, refreshed from a fairly good night of rest.
My oldest son visited yesterday and we FEASTED on King Crab Legs and shrimp-amazing how many grams of sodium in those thangs!!!
I was PLEASED and PROUD as I scoured the "news" today and saw the picture of the BRAVE American soldiers who PUMMELED and STOPPED a terrorist in France!
I noted especially the RACE of the AMERICAN soldiers-two Caucasian and one Black/African American and I breathed softly:

THIS is how it is SUPPOSED to work!!!
AS John Lennon sang, "COME TOGETHER-RIGHT NOW!!!!!"
Ephesians 4:11-13 (KJV)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
THE Church MUST "COME TOGETHER-RIGHT NOW!!!!"
Jesus gave US the litmus test:
John 13:35 (KJV)
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

PREACH THE GOSPEL AT ALL TIMES-IF NECESSARY USE WORDS!!"
The Apostle Paul enjoins US:
Romans 12:15-16 (KJV)
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

AS I type this sermon, I hear the strains of a song I often sang-the Word of God:
Isaiah 60:1 (KJV)
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
That LIGHT is IN each of US who PROFESS The Name of Christ:
IS RISEN UPON THEE-a primitive root; properly,
to irradiate (or shoot forth beams),
i.e. to rise
(as the sun); specifically to
appear
(as a symptom of leprosy) :-
arise, rise (up), as soon as it is up.

That may appear to be a strange analogy:

This LIGHT, this GOODNESS, is IN each of us:

Beloved, as THIS world grows increasingly dark and darker, this wonderful, amazing
LIGHT that is IN each of US will glow and GROW more intensly:

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
