WHAT TIME DOES THE WORSHIP SERVICE START?

It's common for Unitarian Universalists to begin answering a theological question, "It depends on what you mean by . . . "

As in:

Curious: What time does the Sunday Worship start?
Unitarian Universalist: It depends on what you mean by "start."

TIME SERVICE STARTS DEPENDS MEANING OF "START"
If "start" means "when the bell rings and Adam Kent begins playing the Prelude," then the CUC Sunday Worship starts at 10:00am. For our members and friends who truly appreciate Adam's excellent touch at the piano, 10:00 is when the worship service begins. Also, for the children going to Children's Worship in the Fellowship Hall, the service starts at 10:00.

If "start" means "when we sing the 'Spirit of Truth' invocation," then the CUC Sunday Worship starts at 10:15am.

EXPERIMENTAL THIRD DEFINITION OF "START"

On the first Sunday of the month for October and November, we're offering a THIRD option (who says we don't believe in Trinities!) for defining "start." On Sun. Oct. 6 and Sun. Nov. 3, we'll have "Story for All Ages" at 10:10!

On Oct. 6 and Nov. 3, the children will start their Children's Worship as usual in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00. Then, at 10:10, they'll move into the Sanctuary for Rev. Meredith Garmon's Story for All Ages.

As the story is truly for ALL ages, adults who make it to the sanctuary on or before 10:10 will probably be glad they did!

What time does the Worship Service start?
You pick: 10:00, or 10:10, or 10:15.

As always, thank you for being a Unitarian Universalist!

Rev. Meredith Garmon
