Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory Grand Opening

 

October 11 and 12 | 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Be among the first to experience the wonder and amazement of gardens under glass as Lauritzen Gardens opens the all-new Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory. A study in luxuriant flowers and foliage, unusual plant life, dramatic water features and panoramic views, the 17,500 square foot conservatory is a walkable work of art for all four seasons. From tropical gardens with soaring palms and vibrant flowers to temperate gardens with moss-covered oak trees and blooming azaleas, to an ever-changing gallery space for magnificent floral displays and special events, guests can explore picturesque garden areas and experience creative horticultural designs throughout the year. Don't miss this lush environment where plants will burst with life year-round. Opening for the enjoyment of the community this weekend! Included with garden admission of $10 for adults, $5 for children (6-12) and free for members 

and children under 6.

Members-Only Evening

 

See it first at night! Experience the tropics to the beat of steel drum music and enjoy complimentary light appetizers. Wine will be available for purchase. Please no children during this evening event.

Fall Chrysanthemum Show

 

 through November 23 | 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
 

Inspired by Opera Omaha's upcoming production of A Flowering Tree, experience a fascinating fabrication of flowers at the garden's annual fall chrysanthemum show. Bold mums combine with vibrant colors, rich fabrics, diverse textures and other exotic design elements- representative of the storied east Indian culture. 


 

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for garden members and children under 6. 


 

Ghoulish Garden Adventure

 

 October 26 | noon to 4 p.m.
 

Once upon a time, there was a Ghoulish Garden Storybook Adventure at Lauritzen Gardens! From Cinderella's pumpkin carriage to Jack's magic beans, your family will enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the garden, learning about the mysteries of nature, getting up-close with wild creatures and many more fun activities. Bring your family to discover where the wild things grow! Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for garden members and children under 6.
