What's New with Envision Eugene?

With the public record on the urban growth boundary (UGB) proposal closed and deliberations scheduled over the summer, the UGB adoption process progresses. This newsletter includes an update on that process, in addition to information about summer events where you can meet members of the Eugene Planning Team and learn about the links between urban planning and sustainability. As always, you can find the latest information about Envision Eugene on our website.

UGB Adoption Process

The public record on the UGB Proposal closed yesterday at 5pm. Thank you to all those who provided testimony throughout the process. Your comments will help Councilors and Commissioners make their decisions on UGB adoption.

We are keeping a database of all testimony received. The spreadsheet, with links to the pieces of testimony, is available here. Hard copies of the testimony are also available from reception at the Atrium Building in Eugene (99 W 10th).

Eugene City Council and the Lane County Board of Commissioners will hold deliberations on the UGB proposal over the summer. Public testimony and technical documents will be considered at these meetings and will inform their decisions.

City Council deliberations are scheduled for July 17th and the Board of Commissioners deliberations are scheduled for August 8th. While there is no opportunity for public comment at these meetings, all are welcome to attend.

Summer Events

Some of you might have seen our Envision Eugene booth at Sunday Streets, Party in the Parks or at neighborhood picnics last summer. We had a great time connecting with you at these fun, relaxed, informal, events. This summer - we are back!
