Volunteer Gardening Day

Join us as we work to clean up the gardens and flower beds around the Jewish Federation.  Come get your hands dirty working in the garden, and then enjoy a complimentary light lunch!

Our community's participation in the worldwide Holocaust memorial project, "Unto Every Person There is a Name" will begin at 10:00 AM. At 12:00 we will pause our name reading for our candle lighting ceremony and a presentation by our guest speaker Avi Maor.

Our Yom Hashoah program in 2016 focuses on redemption and triumph with the showing of the documentary, One Flight For Us. Our guest speaker Avi Maor, helped to organize the flight over Auschwitz as part of the 2003 International Holocaust Remembrance Day and took part in the flight by piloting one of the planes. 

Be sure to join us as we hear Avi Maor's first hand experience of a flight that made a clear statement of NEVER AGAIN.
