"We Were Here" recalls the AIDS crisis in San Francisco during the early 1980s, when what was then known as the "gay plague" first swept through the city's thriving gay community. The documentary focuses on the experiences of five individuals.

StoryCorps animated shorts celebrate the act of listening. Included: "Making It," about a Chicago high-school student who helped his family make ends meet as a boy; "Marking the Distance," about a San Francisco woman who lost her short-term memory.
