15 June 2017
Our 8th grade graduates join in more than 300 years of Lasallian tradition and sing the final hymn "Honneur a Toi" after receiving their diplomas and awards.
Greetings from Mr. Gault

The De La Salle School class of 2017 would like to express a special thank you to their parents for their continued love and support, The De La Salle School faculty, staff and volunteer tutors for nurturing their gifts and talents and you our friends and gracious benefactors who have financially supported our school's mission and the graduates' educational efforts.

Below are a few selected heartfelt reflections expressed at Graduation Friday, 9 June, from our graduating class of 2017:

"... at the end of the day I give thanks to The De La Salle School for never giving up on me."     Jorge C.

"I thought I would never make it and be successful, but now I see the door is open and filled with possibilities."     Franklin C.

"The thing I really like about this school is that they are always there for you through your rough times no matter what."     Carlos M.

"Last but not least for Mr. (Nicholas) O'Neill, for helping with all my subjects. I hope you are listening to this speech from Heaven and know how grateful I am for having you as a tutor for two years." Daniel P.

"The past four years have truly been a blessing filled with many experiences.  Thank you to all the teachers who have given countless opportunities to me."     Daniel R.

"'Smile God Loves You!' is just one of the many phrases I have heard through my 8th grade year...  I would also like to thank my parents for playing a big role throughout my De La Salle years."     Matthew S.

"I could never forget the people who were and still are an enormous part in my successes and accomplishments ... and to all the benefactors who donate to support this wonderful school."   Ranulfo T.

The General Excellence Award. This award acknowledges the student with the highest grade point average in all major subjects.  The award was earned by Matthew Sotelo.

The De La Salle Gentleman Award.  This award is not given every year.  To be eligible for The De La Salle Gentleman Award a graduate must have been enrolled at The De La Salle School for at least two years.  Evidence of spiritual, academic, social and physical growth is to be clearly demonstrated through hard work and commendable achievement. Respect, responsibility, leadership and service are to be hallmarks of the young man's character.  Adherence to these criteria desginate that the student is in harmony with the mission of The De La Salle School.  This award is presented only when there is an individual in the class who shows by word and deed that he is committed to being a caring citizen of the world through his ongoing effort to develop his God given talents and to demonstrate Christian politeness in all relationships.  The award was earned by Daniel Lopez.

Congratulations gentlemen on your success.
