Urban Renewal Plan Approval for Mile High Greyhound Park Creates Opportunity for Development
The urban renewal plan for the Mile High Greyhound Park redevelopment was approved by the Commerce City Planning Commission, Urban Renewal Authority and City Council earlier this month. Approval of the plan allows the master developer for the site, REGen, LLC, to use tax increment financing (TIF) to finance construction of infrastructure on the site. This new infrastructure will provide better connectivity between residential areas to the north and east to the commercial areas on the site. The approved site plan and zoning includes
designated retail and commercial areas, main street retail and commercial along Parkway Drive (which will be extended through the site), a training/education facility and a

While Commerce City is one of the fastest growing communities in Colorado, a recent retail trade area analysis showed that there are many opportunities to meet retail needs due to a growing population and workforce throughout the city. The city is developing the new
Ready for Retail awareness campaign to spread the word about the great opportunities for retail development in Commerce City. Initial outreach is targeting

Bison Ridge Recreation Center Now Open
The city's brand new, 108,000-square-foot Bison Ridge Recreation Center is now open at 13905 E. 112th Avenue (just off Highway 2). Bison Ridge includes an indoor pool with water slide, gymnasium with walking/jogging track, fitness/weights area, gymnastics center, 300-person community room and much more. A variety of health and fitness programs and classes are also offered. Construction of this new facility and renovations currently being completed at the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center (6060 E. Gallagher Business Park
Two industrial projects are under construction in the core city.
The Gallagher Business Park at 5725 E. 56th Ave. (just east of Holly Street) is a nearly 25,000-square-foot, multi-tenant industrial building. The other project is a 20,000 square-foot warehouse building at 5855 E. 56th Ave. intended for a single industrial user.
North Range Crossings Apartments
North Range Crossings Apartments at 14350 E. 104th Ave. are also under construction. The development will include a total of
216 affordable housing units across eight buildings. Units will be priced at 60 percent of Area Median Income (AMI), which equates to an annual salary of $33,660 for a single person; similar to an entry-level teaching position in the area. The first buildings will be complete this summer. The complex also includes a clubhouse, yoga and fitness centers, and a community kitchen. Learn more at
New Restaurant to Open in Northern Range
Commerce City residents and visitors will soon have a new place to eat along the E. 104th Avenue corridor!
Las Margs Restaurant plans to open at 15550 E. 103th Place in the North Range Town Center; the space formerly occupied by Royal Nepal Restaurant. Las Margs will serve Mexican cuisine and specialty margaritas. Stay tuned for more information about a grand opening and ribbon cutting.
