Pardon the interruption as we prepare for the upcoming Leon Valley 4th of July Spectacular! Evers road will be closed from Huebner to Poss Rd. on the following dates and times;
 
  • July 1st from 6:30AM-8:30AM
  • July 3rd from 7:00PM-until mid-day July 4th (following race)
 
BANDERA ROAD @ POSS ROAD
Poss Road closed @ Peachtree  / July 3 / begin 7pm / Event parking at LV Elementary
 
      HUEBNER ROAD @ EVERS ROAD

Shuttles Available - Six (6) Shuttles - 29 passenger shuttles
ALL STAR Shuttles will be shuttling from Bandera Bowl and Leon Valley Elementary School. The wait time for shuttles is approximately 15-20 minutes.
 
Public Parking Areas - Please be courteous of Leon Valley property owners do not block driveways, sidewalks, alleys or easements.
 
PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED, only service animals with certificate presented
NO FIREARMS ALLOWED
 
Can I Bring My Own Food/Drinks?

ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED. NO COOLERS ALLOWED. Those with coolers will be asked to take them back to your cars. Entry will not be allowed with coolers and/or outside food or drinks.
Can I Bring Chairs, Shades and/or Blankets
Yes, you can bring lawn chairs, shading from the sun and/or blankets to enjoy the festivities. We also encourage you to protect yourselves and your children with sunscreen . Please note if you bring umbrellas or similar shading you will need to take them down in the evening so as to have clear vision for the fireworks.
Clear Bag Policy
In the interest of the continued safety of the City of Leon Valley's citizens and the general public, the City is instituting a Clear Bag Policy for the Leon Valley July 4 th event at Raymond Rimkus Park on July 4 th from 5:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
The City has modified its security policy by limiting the size and style of bags allowed into the park.  Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to, the following:  purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags, camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size. *Medically necessary and diaper bags are allowed after proper inspection at the entry gate.
To be approved for entry into Raymond Rimkus Park for the July 4 th event, bags or purses must be clear, plastic or vinyl and cannot exceed 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches in size. Small, one-compartment, clutch purses that do not exceed 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches (with or without a handle or strap) also will be permitted. All bags will be subject to inspection at the entrance and may be subject to additional inspection inside the facility. The City reserves the right to prohibit any item deemed dangerous or unsuitable by the Leon Valley Police Department.
An exception will be made for medical necessary items and diaper bags after proper inspection at park entrances.
All purses and bags are subject to search and gates will be strictly monitored for your safety and the safety of others.
Note: 1st Aid will be available near the large parking lot in case of emergency.

The City of Leon Valley is bringing new life and enforcement to the ON IT  program. All City Departments are teaming together to bring more attention and compliance to your neighborhood issues and concerns. The intention of the   ON IT  program is to have a direct means of reporting your community concerns regarding streets, sidewalks, abandoned homes, loose or dead animal reports, permitting concerns, noise or other neighborhood nuisances and much more.

The goal is to ensure that City service requests and information is handled, as promptly as possible, with a high level of customer service. Report it and an  ON IT team member will respond as quickly as possible.

CVS Drug Disposal Box 
The CVS Drug Disposal Box has been installed in the city hall lobby between the two front doors - please feel free to utilize this box for expired prescriptions or prescriptions that you no longer use and need to dispose of in a proper manner.
