The Home Builders Care Foundation (HBCF) played a key role in making sure that one emergency shelter for homeless women was fully equipped to open for the winter season.   

 

HBCF Completes Improvements at Two Charles County Group Homes for the Disabled

Two  group homes to disabled adults in Waldorf received e exterior makeovers this past month thanks to the Home Builders Care Foundation charitable construction program. The homes are part of Spring Dell Center's residential services program offering housing and supportive services to individuals with disabilities. 88% of the residents in the homes are in wheelchairs. HBCF's Annual Holiday Giving Drives are Underway - share your blessings!


Each year, the Home Builders Care Foundation organizes year-end Holiday Giving Drives to benefit local community organizations serving the needy. This year's Thanksgiving Food Drive benefits the Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore (donate thru Nov 18) and our Holiday Toy Drive 
 benefits the National Center for Children and Families in Bethesda. We're collecting at the office!  Read more here.

Interior Transformation Complete at Busy Homeless Center in NW DC

 

The Welcome Center, a program of  Friendship Place in northwest Washington, DC is a place where the homeless can escape from the streets and receive clinical care. HBCF's HomeAid DC chapter recently completed a major $200,000  renovation thanks to Efficient Home LLC.   Read more here.

Ruppert Landscape Provides Facelift to Baltimore's Carroll Park

 

Five hundred of Ruppert Landscape's employees will provide nearly $180,000 worth of landscape renovations to Baltimore's Carroll Park on Friday, October 10th.  Wow.

Builders Lend a Helping Hand to Youth Football Club

 

This summer, a handful of MBIA members assisted the Sykesville Raiders with the rebuilding of their Obrecht Field broadcast booth. Led by Chris Rachuba, the team of members were honored as part of a special halftime appreciation ceremony that took place on October 11th. Read more here.
