Annual Women's Dinner "Legacy & Light"
Kay Waltman
Corinne Stagen
Ladies of the church (and friends) - don't miss "Legacy & Light" - our Annual Women's Dinner - on May 7, 2019 in the Grotto at the Gorton Community Center. This year's event features two women artists and the insights and perspectives they bring from a life of pursuing their work.

Legacy - Kay Waltman will share stories of what it was to be one of the first women to work in the field of industrial design beginning in the 1940s. One historian has recently described Kay as a national treasure. We will have a number of Kay's paintings that reflect the arc of her life as a painter, from the first portrait paintings of her daughter Maggie to later abstract and landscapes works. If you've never before seen Kay's paintings, they are absolutely stunning.
Light - Corinne Stagen will share insights to her career as a photographer, with emphasis on the inspiration of light and how it influences and shapes her work as a photographer.

The cost for the evening is $20 and will include beverage options (prosecco, rose, Töst a dry, non-alcoholic sparkling beverage, beer) and dinner, "the Gorgeous May Salad" with chicken breast, bread from Hewn, and a special dessert.

Space is limited; sign up ASAP HERE Questions? Contact Zach.

The Community Church happily supports Project Linus , providing love, a sense of security, warmth & comfort to children who are very ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”

The 2018 Farm Church Service Trip is full! Twenty-five high school youth and five adult sponsors will travel to Durham, North Carolina June 11th-15th.

If you are a high school age youth or parent of and were hoping to go on the trip, put your name on the HERE Chances are that a spot or two will open up. Send pleadings and inquiries to Zach .
