Foreign-Trade Zone Expands
Four northeast Indiana counties are now part of the area's Foreign-Trade Zone, providing businesses located in those counties with tools to help them compete globally. The U.S. Department of Commerce recently approved the City of Fort Wayne's application for expansion of Foreign-Trade Zone 182. Read More.
The Courtyard Apartments Win Accolades
The National Community Development Association (NCDA) has awarded "The Courtyard of Fort Wayne" apartments with the Audrey Nelson Community Development Achievement Award.


The Courtyard is a $7.2 million apartment complex that will accommodate 18- to 25-year-olds leaving foster care and entering adulthood without significant guidance or support. The 47,000 square foot building will hold 36 one- and two-bedroom units and will be built on the site of the former Duemling Clinic, 2828 Fairfield Avenue. Read more.

 

Enterprise Center Has Space for Start-Ups 
The Enterprise Center, located in central Fort Wayne, now has space available for emerging or start-up businesses. Because it is in the Fort Wayne Enterprise Zone, the Center offers its tenants access to tax credits and other business incentives. Start-up businesses are able to grow and thrive in the Center because service costs are shared among companies.
 
Spaces ranging from approximately 1,700 to 3,500 square feet are available and can accommodate office-based businesses or manufacturing. Amenities include free parking, a centralized receptionist, a shared conference room and upgraded electric and HVAC systems. Find out more here.
