Community Disaster Relief Fund for the Boles Fire Supports Weed Community Center Rebuild

Three years after the catastrophic event in Weed, CA., a check for $72,512.55 representing the remaining balance in the Community Disaster Relief Fund for the Boles Fire was presented to Recreation and Parks District Manager, Mike Rodriguez by Kerry Caranci, CEO of Shasta Regional Community Foundation. "100% of the $641,356.97 in donations to this fund went directly to aid survivors and community recovery efforts,"
said  Caranci. "The Long Term Recovery Group and our Board were in full agreement that the remaining funds would go to restore  this important asset for the Weed community."
