Staying Positive in the Winter
You don't have to have the winter blues

Winter can be a tough time for many people.  But winter do esn't have to be a time of loneliness and isolation. There's a lot of beauty and bles sings to be found even in the cold months.
Here are some he lpful tips for enjoying winter more:

Fight loneliness: While the weather might keep you inside, calling a friend and chatting, even if only for a few minutes, can give your mood a boost.
Catch some rays: Yes, winter is cold and the days are short, but the sun still shines. When the temperature is above freezing, bundle up and head outside. Even a few minutes sitting in the sun can help.
Get moving: On those nice sunny days, take a slow stroll around your block. Exercise provides a powerful lift to your mood.
Turn on your oven:  Why not bake some cookies or muffins? You can purchase refrigerated cookie dough or bag mixes for many cookies and muffins. Your house will smell fantastic and you can share your baked goodies with friends and neighbors.
Change your perspective: One of the greatest reasons we don't enjoy winter is because we tell ourselves we hate it. Our thoughts have a lot of power over our mood. So, rather than repeating negative reasons for why you don't like winter, change those thoughts to positive ones. Learning to think less negatively will improve your mood.
