8-BALL CLASH
will follow this meeting!

It's time again for this session's Captain/Co-Captain Meeting which is OPEN to any Birmingham APA player. If you are NOT a Captain or Co-Captain, you may still attend this meeting. This meeting will be from 10:30 - 11:30 am to discuss any upcoming changes in our league and to answer any questions!

IMPORTANT MEETING AGENDA: We will discuss the scheduled team fee increase in 2015 and how this will benefit our league.

Following this meeting will be our annual Captain/Co-Captain 8-Ball Clash! You MUST attend the Captains Meeting, at 10:30 am, to be able to play in this following tourney. Our 8-Ball Clashis an 8-Ball Scotch Doubles team tournament which is heldONLY for our current Captains and Co-Captains. Teams will have a chance to win Trophies, Cash, and other Prizes. This tourney is very popular and a lot of fun so all teams should register quickly because there are only 32 slots available.

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS 
  • Players MUST have at least 5 lifetime matches in our APA 8-Ball format.
  • Players MUST be listed as a current team Captain, or Co-Captain, as of week 8 in this session.
  • Players MUST be in good standings with ALL team fees & dues paid up to date.
RULES & GUIDELINES
  • Entry fee is $30.00 for teams registering by the deadline shown in this email. Teams registering after the posted deadline will pay a late entry fee of $40.00.
  • ONLY MEETING ATTENDEES will be allowed to participate in this tourney. If you miss the meeting, you will not be eligible to play even if you have already registered.
  • Entry fee is $30.00 for teams registering by our deadline. Late entry fees for teams registering after deadline is $40.00.
  • All teams must be paid and signed-in BEFORE our Captains Meeting starts to avoid an additional $10.00 LATE FEE. 
  • Registered "No Show" meeting attendees will still owe their entry fees unless they are replaced.
  • Any open spots will first be filled by unregistered Captains and Co-Captains who attend the meeting. Any spots remaining afterwards will be filled by other attendees who are not Captains or Co-Captains. 
  • Limit of 32 teams and each team MUST consist of one Captain and Co-Captain (Can be from different teams). 
  • Total combined skill level points of team is limited to 12 points.
  • Players' current skill levels, at the time of the registration deadline, will be used. 
  • Match Races are based on total combined skill levels.

        Total Team Points = 11 to 12 - Race to 5 games
        Total Team Points = 9 to 10 - Race to 4 games
        Total Team Points = 7 to 8 - Race to 3 games
        Total Team Points = 6 or less - Race to 2 games
 

  • Modified-Single Bracket - guaranteed to play twice.
  • Players participating may only play on one Doubles team in this tournament.
  • Only 1 Time-Out per game - no talking to your partner when at the table shooting. 
  • Sharking is allowed and encouraged so bring your best smack talking. Just don't get vulger or too personal. 
  • There will be NO sharking and smack talking in money rounds. (Don't want anyone to get all pissy, do we?)
  • Number of prizes and places paid will be determined by the amount of entries.
If you are unable to attend this meeting, or ineligible to play in the following tournament, we hope you will be able to do so in the future. If you know another Captain, or Co-Captain, who doesn't have email, please make them aware of this upcoming event and have them call our office to register.
