TECHNOLOGY CLASSES

PPL offers the following free computer and technology training classes in May and June. Whether for personal use or small business application, these basic classes are an opportunity for you to get savvy with the latest web technologies and tools.
 
Registration is required! To register online or for more information, see our schedule here or visit www.provlib.org/calendar . If you need assistance, please call 455-8000 after 1 pm.

Ages 14 - adult are welcome!
Classes with less than 5 registrants may be cancelled. Cancelled classes will NOT be rescheduled, 
but will be offered repeatedly.

June Class Schedule 
Fridays June 8 - July 13 — 8:30 - 10 am
netWORKri One-Stop Center, One Reservoir Ave, Providence
Join this four-week series to learn the fundamentals of the Worldwide Web. Registration and attendance at all sessions required.
 
Sat. June 2 — 10 am - Noon
PPL Classroom, 5th Floor
Learn the basics of MS Word. Create documents, use formatting tools, fonts and images. Registration required.
 
Sat. June 9 — 10 am - Noon
PPL Classroom, 5th Floor
Go beyond the basics of Word to learn advanced layouts and tools you can use to create a resume, flyer or report. Registration required.
 
Sat. June 16 — 10 am - Noon  
PPL Classroom, 5th Floor
Learn the Tools and Vocabulary of MS Excel. Topics Include: Entering Data, Formatting, Sheets, Basic Formulas & Charts. Registration required.
 
Sat. June 23 — 10 am - Noon
PPL Classroom, 5th Floor
Take the next step with MS Excel. Relative v s. Absolute Addressing, Sorting, Function Library, etc. 
Registration required.
 
Sat. June 30 — 10 am - Noon
PPL Classroom, 5th Floor
Get started with MS PowerPoint. Create presentations, use animations, templates and images. Registration required.

Computer Basics Learning Circle Continues -- NEW MEMBERS WELCOME!
Saturday, 10 am - Noon, PPL Learning Lounge (5th Floor)
Learn keyboarding skills, how to navigate the Internet, email basics and more. Learners meet weekly for 2 hours (April 7 – May 12). Contact Sherry at 455-8061 for more information.

Preparing to take the SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT or another entrance exam? Are you looking to get your GED? Do you need to take an occupational exam to help advance your career? Are you just looking to learn new skills? Learning Express can help!

Join AskRI.org and Learning Express at Warwick Public Library for a free workshop on using Learning Express online databases. The workshop is limited to 20 participants. Afternoon snacks and coffee will be provided.
