TIPS

When evaluating LED products, don't just look at the numbers.

To specify LEDs properly, you need to know where the numbers are coming from. "Lumens", for instance, describes the total amount of light emitted from a source. Some LED fixture manufacturers list "Lumens", "Raw Lumens", or "Chip Lumens" on their specification sheets. In practice, it doesn't matter how much light comes out of the LED chip itself, what matters is the amount of light coming out the actual fixture. For the most reliable information, look for terms like "Fixture Delivered Lumens" or ask your Sales Rep if the "lumen" number is from the chip or from the fixture itself.

Leveraging the latest advances in SSL technology, the RA4L family has been engineered from the ground up to push performance and optical quality higher than ever. Delivering over 2000 lumens while consuming only 29W, the RA4L delivers outstanding efficacy of 71 lumens per watt. With a spacing criteria of 1.3, the overall number of fixtures required to light a space is greatly reduced, thus directly contributing to reduced cost of material, labor and energy. With a full offering of housings and trims, the RA4L family has a product to suit your downlight specification needs.
