Hour of Code at CEA
We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works.
Even though our children use technology throughout their education, very few of them know exactly how that technology works. This event will broaden their horizons and allow them to take a deep look into technology.
That's why our entire school is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week this December. More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code.
Our Hour of Code is making a statement that Conchita Espinosa Academy is ready to teach these foundational 21st century skills!

CEA Trip to A Noise Within Theatre, 2016
|
We are proud to announce that from
April 6 - 12, 2017, CEA is planning an educational experience trip to California designed for our theatre students and select students who excel in Literature and/or Playwriting in 5th grade and up.
The primary purpose of this school trip is to visit and study theatre at A Noise Within, a classical theatre repertory company in Pasadena, California founded in 1992 by CEA graduate, Julia Rodriguez-Elliott (c/o 1974) and her husband, Geoff Elliott. Since its inauguration, A Noise Within has evolved from being a small neighborhood theatre company to becoming one of the most distinguished theatre companies in the Southern California area-- consistently raising the bar on how great classical theatre can be.
Students will spend 5 days completely immersed in theatre and literature. They will have the opportunity to watch three professional shows:
Man of La Mancha
Ah, Wilderness!
and
King Lear
Students will spend time dissecting text, talking to professional actors, writers, directors, and designers, and experience every aspect of the theatre as these great literary works come to life on the stage.
For more detailed information about the trip and how to register, please reach out to
