CPS Theatre Department Presents Mary Poppins : April 27 – 29

Set Construction for Mary Poppins: With the massive undertaking for the set design of the spring musical, which includes an extremely large stage to be built in the gym, this show also involves NINE different scenery locations as well as individual set pieces to add to each of those scenes. While we have a set designer already working on the design, this show will not be possible without student and parent help. If interested in working with the set construction, contact Mrs. Johnson ( joyjohnson@concordiaprepschool.org) for more information.

From the School Nurse
The flu is widespread in our area as you have heard on the news. Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus that infects the nose, throat and sometimes the lungs. The symptoms start suddenly and can include fever (over 100 F), cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body/muscle aches, headache, chills and fatigue. It can be spread by droplets from the ill person up to 6 feet away. A person is contagious for between 5-7 days from when they first get ill. If you develop these symptoms, see your physician as soon as possible as an antiviral medication can lessen the severity of the illness and needs to be started 24-48 hours after symptoms develop. For more information visit cdc.gov/flu.

If your child has a fever of over 100 degrees F they should not come to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours-without fever reducing medication – ibuprofen(Motrin, Advil) or acetaminophen(Tylenol). Please contact Ellen Marquardt at ellenmarquardt@concordiaprepschool.org or 410-825-2323 Ext 244 if you have any questions ..
