From Headmaster Mr. Brent Johnson

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!

Psalm 107:1

As Thanksgiving approaches we have so many things to be thankful for at Concordia Prep. I am thankful for the opportunity to lead this excellent school with such a rich history. I am thankful for the growth that we have experienced this year; we are blessed to have so many wonderful students and parents who partner with us to educate their children. I am also thankful for a dedicated faculty, staff, and coaches who work diligently to help the students in their care. I am thankful for our administrative team that strives to lead CPS to new successes. I am thankful for a Board of Directors who willingly sacrifice their time and talent to support our ministry because they believe in our mission. I am thankful for our thousands of alumni who support us with prayers, referrals, and donations. I am also thankful for our association congregations who generously support our mission. I am thankful for the rest of the CPS community and all of the supporters in our 53rd year of ministry. It is my hope that each of you has a peaceful and joyous Thanksgiving Holiday with family and friends.
First Quarter Honors
Congratulations to the upper school students named to the Honor or Merit Roll for the first quarter: First Quarter Honor Roll
Operation Christmas Child
Mrs. Barth said the Art Club packed 62 boxes, which is a record! "We are so thankful for the generosity and kindness of our students and their families. It is inspiring to see you people investing their time and energy to benefit others. Our students packed off-site on a Saturday and organized their own Art Club sponsored packing event on campus. The Christmas Child shoe boxes are being delivered to over 100 countries. Some "closed" countries allow the campaign entry because it will benefit their children which allows the gospel to be spread to un-reached people. This is the Great Commission. Thanks again for joining us in this effort."
Senior Katherine Brocato signed her National Letter of Intent last Friday to play Division 1 lacrosse at the University of Cincinnati next fall. She is pictured with her parents, Headmaster Brent Johnson, Head Women's Lacrosse Coach John Tucker, Athletic Director Josh Ward, and Director of Guidance Mrs. Grill. #Go Bearcats!

From the School Nurse
Free Drive Thru Flu Shots  Sunday November 5 from 8 am to 12 pm  at CCBC Essex campus Rossville Blvd and College Drive. Vaccinations for people six months and older.

If a student is ill with a fever, they should not return to school until they have been fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication(i.e.Tylenol, Advil). This will help ensure the student is no longer contagious.

According to our school policy, students should not have any medications(including over the counter medications) in their locker or bag other than emergency medications such inhalers or EpiPen that have been ordered by their physician.  The Over the Counter Medication Authorization Form was developed to allow parents and the student's doctor to indicate what medications the student can take from the nurse during the school day. These medication are all kept in the health suite and administered by the school nurse. The form is available on the website or from the nurse. Please contact Ellen Marquardt if you have any questions.
