At The Conejo Players, we present our workshops for a very low non-refundable registration fee of $5 per workshop (plus lab fees in some instances). Workshops vary in age ranges, so please check the requirements for each class prior to registration.

MUSIC THEORY WORKSHOP

4 Wednesdays, March 28, April 4, 11, & 18 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Instructor - Lisa Yaldezian
Ages 16 & up
$15 per person ($5 administrative fee + $10 lab fee)
Rhythm and notes and key signatures, oh my. What is a struggling musical theatre performer to do? Why, come to the Conejo Players Workshop to learn basic music theory taught in a friendly atmosphere, of course! Lisa will introduce notes, rhythm, time signatures, key signatures and more.

Class will cover the dramatic perspective of performing a song, what kinds of dramatic choices the student can make and using the lyric like a script.

CHILDREN'S AUDITION WORKSHOP

2 Saturdays, August 4 & 1110:00 - 4:00
Instructor - Erin Fagundes (and team)
Best suited for ages 8-13
$5 administrative fee per person
This wildly popular workshop will help all levels of youngsters hone their skills in song choice, voice, dance and cold reading to help them prepare for auditions. The first Saturday is a series of mini workshops with plenty of practice. The second Saturday, students "audition" in front of local theatre experts who give constructive feedback on their performance. The audition is not real, but the experience is!
