Dear FCHCC Members and Supporters:

With 2020 behind us, we're excited to move forward in 2021, and we are off to a great start! I'm excited to share some of the Hispanic Chamber’s accomplishments and new upcoming goals. First, FCHCC has two new partnerships with International businesses:

Museo Interactivo de la Música (MIMMA) - Málaga, Spain, MIMMA is a museum with a high dose of interactivity that is being achieved through multimedia, interactive and mechanical resources, which are mixed throughout the exhibition route with musical instruments available for visitors to touch and experience music and sound.
Instituto Internacional de Liderazgo, Bogotá, Colombia – Our partnership began in 2020 with “Webinars – Seminarios De Emprendimiento”. It was a 4-session webinar series conducted last August with Keynote speakers: Carlos Pardo, Lester Morales, Constanza Triana and Hector Gomez. The initiative was widely successful and helped our business members navigate through the Pandemic.

Other Accomplishments and Upcoming News:

The Hispanic Chamber is also excited to share AT&T Florida’s continuous support by their recent donation of $15,000.00 for the Achieving the Dream Scholarship Program (ATD).
The ATD Scholarship Application Process for 2021 is currently open and the deadline to apply is May 15, 2021. There will be a minimum of 10 scholarships awarded and the selected students will be honored and recognized in the Fall. You can find more information and how to apply below in this issue.
It is also important to additionally indicate that AT&T Florida has been a loyal and long-time member of our organization as evidenced by their continued support of the Scholarship Program. The ATD Scholarship has been one of the pinnacles of FCHCC for many years, helping Hispanic students continue their educational dreams.
ATD Community Food Drive Event – In 2020, FCHCC skipped the Hispanic Heritage Gala and instead, to assure the safety and welfare of our members and attendees, the ATD Community Food Drive took place with the 2020 ATD recipients which was successfully organized and implemented. The event was presented by The Jacksonville Jaguars and it was so rewarding that plans are on the way to have this event again this year.
Excellence in Business Awards. FCHCC’s goal is to have this signature event in December as the Hispanic Chamber’s Holiday Party. We are working on the details and we’ll share those as soon as available.
To conclude, FCHCC is preparing for the Hispanic Heritage Gala where the ATD scholarships we will present the scholarships to the 2021 Recipients. Stay tuned for further details.

On March 27, 2021, the Hispanic Chamber is hosting Women del Manana Event virtually. This event will have 4 breakout sessions to help promote and support Hispanic women in our community and strengthen their talents and leadership skills.

Speakers include: Aide Chavez, Founder and CEO of Be Mas Social, Maria Isabel Montoya, Founder and CEO of MiAddvantage, Annie Grogan, Outreach Marketing Director for SBA and Conchi Fernandez, Partner at CF Creative. We hope you will add this event to your calendar and make plans to register and attend. More details below.
