West Central Sidewalk
& Curb Program

At its August meeting, the West Central Neighborhood Association (WCNA) approved a program to assist residents needing new sidewalks and curbs.
The City of Fort Wayne already reimburses 40% of the cost of sidewalk and curb replacement, and that normally leaves 60% of the cost to be borne by the property owner. Under this new program, the WCNA will pay up to half of the 60%, leaving just 30% of the total cost with the property owner. Because the City will be making allocation decisions soon, the application deadline is coming up fast. Applications to the WCNA must be received by September 25, 2014.
