Member Resource

Had a nice chat this morning with URISA Past President, Peirce Eichelberger, a longtime contributor to URISA's body of knowledge. Together, we located a paper in URISA's proceedings database that he presented way back in 1980 at a URISA conference, titled "Miami's Urban Atlas".

Did you know that you have access to this valuable resource?  From the URISA home page , click on the Member Login button in the top left corner and go through the motions of logging in to your membership account. Once in the members-only area, click on the Member Resources item in the left-side menu and get access to an abundance of proceedings papers, journal articles and more. We're continuing to add content, and have some catching-up to do. (Thanks to Esri for hosting!)

You can also search the membership directory (by individual or organization) to expand your professional network.

We've got lots of plans for this area of our member website, including uploading volunteered models and samples of documents that have worked for you. You'll be able to adapt these resources to your needs, saving time and energy. Why create an RFP for imagery acquisition from scratch when a fellow member has already created one that worked well? Were you able to recruit the perfect candidate for a GIS Analyst position? Share that job posting with your fellow members.

Stay tuned... it's going to be a busy year!
