CONGRATULATIONS!
On behalf of the members of the Edison Awards Steering Committee, the Judges of the 2012 Edison Awards, and the entire Edison Awards Team, we offer our hearty congratulations to the 2012 Edison Award Winners! A record number of nominations was received this year, leading to the presentation of more than 100 Awards at the Gala Ceremony on April 26th in New York. To help mark the 25th Anniversary of the Edison Awards, event organizers planned an Opening Reception & celebration on the eve of the Awards Gala. The reception, sponsored by applepeak and OnStar, offered guests a sneak peek at the expanded Innovator's Showcase, which featured dozens of displays hosted by 2012 Award winners. Throughout the evening and the following day's Meet the Innovators Forum, attendees were able to visit the displays and learn about the fascinating new innovations being showcased. Tom Stat, Chairman of the 2012 Edison Awards Steering Committee (2nd from right), welcomed the audience to this year's Meet the Innovators Forum and introduced the program moderator, Andrea Kates. Kates, founder of the Business Genome project and author of "Find Your Next," played host to the prestigious speakers and panelists who offered their views on topics ranging from new retail frontiers to medicine to education, and everything in between -- all with a view of how future innovation will continue to shape the world we live in. Chris Anderson Honored Chris Anderson, Curator of TED, was honored during the Awards Ceremony with the 2012 Edison Achievement Award, which recognizes distinguished business executives who have made a significant and lasting contribution to innovation, marketing and human-centered design throughout their careers.
