Shabbat Candle L ighti ng  8:32  p m on Friday, July 13, 2018

CNT members enjoyed international music and flavors from around the world at our International Potluck!
We love it when we do things
together as a community
!

Recently we've had a few different fun and interesting activities. In June, we had an International Potluck, where members got a taste of flavors from Greece, Italy, India, and France, while listening to global guitar music. We had a relaxed and very enjoyable evening dining and schmoozing!

Last Friday, we rolled out our first pre-service Dine and Discuss session, where the rabbi led a very interesting discussion on the
9th of Av and why that is a sad date in Jewish history. We learned about the destruction of the first and second temples and the Spanish Inquisition, which led to a discussion of how that day became a fasting day for the restoration of the Temple.

Please join us this Friday night for a musical Shabbat service led by a few of our congregational teens, who welcome everyone to join them in prayer and song!

On Friday, July 20, we'll be joing together for another dairy potluck dinner prior to our Shabbat services.

We hope to see you at the synagogue for these activities!

Shabbat Shalom!

SHABBAT POTLUCK
