About Toby Christensen

Toby is a
recognized expert and innovator in the field of healing music. He
combines sound energy with indigenous healing techniques to help clients
create health and well-being. Using his djembe drum, Toby first creates
a rhythmic force to disrupt unhealthy patterns and then combines
elemental rhythms to restore and realign mind, body and spirit.
With over twenty years of experience, Toby offers his clients a safe
and supportive environment that nurtures and sustains their own
personal healing journeys - allowing them to realize profound results.
Toby has traveled and studied with several indigenous tribes around
the world. He currently travels extensively in the US and has
transformed thousands of lives through his healing sessions, drumming
circles, workshops and interactive concerts.

| Happy March Everybody! | |
I cannot believe it is March already!
I have been spending a lot of time in the studio keeping very busy with the new "Shift It!" program. The transformation is unbelievable, and I am blown away by the responses that people are having from these amazing soundtracks!
Lives are being transformed and lifelong destructive patterns are being eradicated. People who have been struggling to lose weight and improve their health are transforming radically! Abundances are flowing to those who have been struggling for years! Happiness and wellbeing are being restored to those who have been in despair. I am so grateful for the power of the drum and music!
One big issue that continually comes up in my discussions with people is addiction: drugs, alcohol, food, self-berating and sabotage, and negative thought patterns that are draining the life force energy out of people. With this in mind, I have been inspired to create a series of therapeutic drumming CDs.
The first in this series is titled Freedom From Addiction. It works very similar to a "Shift It!" soundtrack in that it is a tool that can be used anytime and anywhere to shift the grip that addiction has on your or a loved one's life. In the last 10 years, I have seen many miracles in this area. The power of the drum has the rhythms and frequencies that create to unwind the grip of this insidious energy. It is my goal to have this first soundtrack completed by the end of April. Stay tuned!
Some of the other therapeutic CDs that will be created are Freedom From Depression, Freedom From PTSD, Power to Focus--which is a powerful CD for people with ADD or ADHD--and Freedom From Chronic Misfortune. This one will assist in restoring the flow of goodness to your life!

Shift it!
"Change your rhythm, change your life!" with a custom CD made just for you!
Overview: In these sessions we look at the BIG PICTURE of your life! We look closely at what you want to create in your life, what is preventing you from doing so. Toby then creates a custom CD just for YOU! By listening to this CD you eradicate old patterns of "not helpful" behavior, shift the way you think about,and perceive yourself. The CD feeds the energy that will help you rise to new heights, own your power and claim your dreams! It also prevents the old patterns and imprints from coming back!

Step 1: We start with the consultation to identify problematic areas, situations, and conditions in your life so that we can shine the light of awareness on them. Negative aspects of our lives are kind of like vampires that way: they cannot survive in the light. By shining the light of awareness on these conditions, we weaken their power.
Step 2: In step two we do a divination to look deep into your life situations and extract any aspects that need to be changed that may not be in your awareness at this time. The divination will also show us any additional measures that need to be taken to remove obstacles and pave a path to your greatness and desired results!
Step 3: I create a 30 minute "Shift It!" CD for you to use to initiate and support the changes we determine are needed in your life. Listen to this custom CD at least, every morning and every evening. This immersion into rhythm and melody will begin to shift the energy you carry, eradicating negative imprints and supporting the positive direction we have established through the consultation and divination.
Step 4: Approximately one week after beginning your "Shift It!" you will receive a coaching session to evaluate your progress and determine if any adjustments need to be made.
Step 5: Approximately one month after utilizing your "Shift It!" you will receive another follow-up coaching session and final divination to evaluate the condition of your energy, discuss the shifts that have occurred and the results that you have received so that we can take you to your next level of power!
Objectives: To eradicate all hooks, cords, contracts, curses, imprints, implants, entities, obstacles and karma which are preventing you from living your greatness and the life you desire. The Power of Transformation
March 2012 Ritual
The ritual for this month is about connecting to the energy of nature. Nature in the West African cosmology is the power of magic and transformation.
This ritual is done best when performed in nature, but I know some of you live in areas where things have not warmed up yet, and being outside is not necessarily a possibility. In that case, do it inside. You will need a fireplace or some access to flame where you will be able to incinerate a piece of paper.
Part of the power of nature is connecting to your true nature. In our culture, we are taught to wear masks to prevent others from seeing who we really are for fear that we may not be accepted. The closer we can get to authenticity and connection to our true nature, the closer we are to carrying our own personal power. To let the magic in, we need to have an open flowing container.
The ritual goes as follows:
First, take a piece of paper. As you sit quietly, go inward and ask the spirit of nature to uncover areas in your life that you are afraid to reveal. Write them down. Next, write down the aspects of yourself that you hide behind, aspects of yourself that are not necessarily authentic to your true heart but represent faces you wear in order to be "okay" in the eyes of those around you.
As you write these down, imagine each of these things as a mask that is coming off. And as it comes off, the shining light of your true nature gets brighter and brighter.
When you have completed the list of things that are preventing you from shining as brightly as you possibly can, put it into the flame. Watch the transformation of the paper and ink turn from solid form into flame. As the flame consumes these things, express gratitude for what they have provided for you.
When the paper has been completely consumed, take a moment to reflect deeply within yourself, basking in the shining light of your authentic nature. You will leave the ritual space transformed, empowered, and in alignment with who you really are. It's time to be that person in the world!
