Reconcile Construction Update 

Greetings from Cafe Reconcile!  As construction workers continue to gut and rebuild our beloved cafe, our students are working hard in their third week of on-the-job training. The positive attitude and absolute commitment to the program exhibited by these young adults has proven inspirational and the staff is proud to watch them grow. 

Of course, such progress wouldn't be possible without the support of our community partners.  Chef Matt Murphy's Irish House has graciously offered their space as a training ground while we transition.  Every few days, the students head to the restaurant where Reconcile staff trains them in front of the house procedures they would normally learn on the cafe floor. In addition to practice sessions, role playing, and menu quizzes, students are also given the opportunity to shadow staff members and experience the fast-paced atmosphere of a real kitchen.
