Greetings!

Just a quick message for everyone who is planning next term's PSHE/SRE sessions, here are two links for you and some information about the implant.

The first one is to our summer catalogue which contains all of our own resources and you will find that all of these items are in stock and ready for despatch.

The second link is to the whole of our shop where many of the items are in stock but some of the models may take up to three weeks to arrive from our suppliers.

Contraceptive Implant
The contraceptive implant is a small device about the size of a match, it is inserted into the upper arm between the two heads of the biceps muscle by a health professional. It remains in place for up to three years and provides hormonal contraceptive protection for three years, when it is the removed and/or replaced.
The implant prevents ovulation and prevents the thickening of the lining of the womb. Menstruation is very light and sometimes disappears for the duration of use.
This method does not provide any protection against sexually transmitted infections and should therefore be used with condoms if there is any doubt about either partner's sexual health.
