Coming at you from the senior high mission trip to Motown Mission in Detroit, MI, I'm writing to you filled with the Spirit! We have done so much amazing work in this community, and it's humbling to know it's but a drop in the bucket compared to all the work that has been done by the dozens of work crews who came before us and the thousands of volunteers and organizations who are rallying to recreate a beautiful city here in Detroit. Please pray for our safe travels home, and thanks!

There are three pieces of info for young adults. First, the biggest: we received our grant for new young adult ministries! This fall, we'll launch a new series of community education Adulting 101 classes aimed at you, watch for a poll to help us know what you want! Plus, we'll have a new mentorship ministry to connect 20-somethings with 50-somethings in our church. Finally, we have new scholarship money to make the LYFE Group books affordable for young people to get on board and have great dialogue with others in the life of the church. What a blessing to have new ideas and new ways to fuel them with funding!

Second, Pub Theology returns on Wednesday at what is becoming a favorite, Sisyphus Brewery. It's great to have a place so close to campus.

And third, the next Wednesday, August 15, we have a Habitat for Humanity build in White Bear Lake. Now is the time to ask your employer for some VTO (Volunteer Time Off) and help rebuild the lives of one of your neighbors. I can tell you that after this week on the mission trip, I'm fueled to get back to it and I hope you'll join us for a good work day and pizza that night - our treat!

Jesus loves you!
