Labor Day Hours
The main library and the Farms branch will be closed Saturday, September 1 through Monday, September 3 . Regular hours resume Tuesday, September 4.
Bookmobile Service on Hiatus
We are in the process of hiring a new Bookmobile Librarian. Bookmobile services are currently suspended pending our transition to a new Head of Bookmobile Services. “Monday Mornings” Fall Series
The Monday Mornings fall series kicks off on Monday, September 10 at 9:30 AM with Tricksters and the Marketing of Breakfast Cereals with Tom Greene of Northern Essex Community College.

Beverly residents can now access Gale LegalForms, a robust online collection of legal forms for free. Users have access to thousands of customizable legal documents, such as wills, rental and lease agreements, and more. They are available 24/7 through our Digital Collection page.
Save the Date! Friends' Fall Book Sale
Mark Saturday, October 20 on your calendar! That’s the day our annual Friends of the Beverly Public Library Fall Book Sale begins. It runs through Sunday, October 28 , and is open daily during regular library hours.
September Art: "ART4ALS"

This month, the main library welcomes an art exhibit by Beverly resident Paula Borsetti and her sister Jane Bates. Paula has taught art at Beverly High School for the past 24 years and her work can be found in local exhibits and private collections. Proceeds from her exhibits will be donated to A Cure for Forster . The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours, when community meetings or library programs are not in progress.

Introduction to 3D Printing

(Manage Your) Money for Nothing! Financial Literacy in Two Parts
Join us for a pair of Saturdays this September as we go over some strategies and resources designed to help you get your financial life in order! On September 15, we’ll cover the nitty-gritty of credit and debt. On September 22, we’ll tackle the business of spending less.

Cookbook Club
Cookbook Club is a chance to meet some new people, try some good food, and experiment with cooking. Cook something to share with the mystery ingredient and bring your dish to the group discussion on September 27 for all to enjoy! Sponsored by the Friends of the Beverly Public Library .

Topsfield Fair Prize Packets
Topsfield Fair prize packets for children who have completed the "Libraries Rock!" Summer Reading program must be picked up by noon on Friday, September 14 . Prize packets will not be available after this date.

Friendship and Peace Story Time
Tuesday, September 11 at 3:30 PM
Members of Endicott College’s LIGHThouse Leadership Society will present a story time for children ages 3-6 celebrating peace, kindness and friendship. After the story time, children will make a friendship bracelet or necklace.

Science Squad (For grades 1 - 5)
Thursday, September 27 at 3:30 PM
Every living thing is made of cells. What makes each creature unique? It’s DNA! Join us in making a model of DNA and a bracelet using an animal’s DNA code.

Farms Branch Events
September Art: “ Mother and Daughter Art Show
September 5 - 28
Artist Joan Berg and her daughter, Gretchen Berg will exhibit in the Conrad Lecture Hall this month. Joan’s paintings are inspired by local architecture and landscape. She captures her subjects using vibrant color and light in her paintings. Gretchen is a photographer. Her photographs, with a local theme, complement her mother’s paintings. There will be an “Artists’ Reception” on Thursday, September 6 from 6 - 8 PM. All are invited to enjoy this lovely show.

Knit, Crochet & Embroider at the Library
Thursday, September 6 from 7 - 8:30 PM
This group meets on the first Thursday of each month. The program is for adults who enjoy all kinds of handwork or fiber arts. Bring your project, meet other crafters and share ideas. No instruction provided.

Adult Book Discussion
Thursday, September 20 from 7 - 8:30 PM
New members welcome. This month we're discussing A Piece of the World by Christina Baker Kline . Books may be picked up in advance at the library. Copies may also be available in large print, CD audiobook and digital formats.

Music with Dara
Friday, September 7 at 10:30 AM
Join Dara each month for a lively, interactive music program. The show is geared for children 18 months-5 years. All are welcome.

Talk Like a Pirate Day
Thursday, September 20, visit anytime between 2 - 4 PM
Ahoy Matey! Join us for a fun time with pirate crafts and activities. Arrrrgh! Pirates in costume are welcome but not necessary – please leave your parrot home! For children 5-10 years.
