Cool Plans for Hot Summer

Greetings!

Summer has officially started and although it is a great time to relax and recharge our batteries, our work here at Child Foundation has just begun. This is the time we start planning our fundraising events. Many nonprofit organizations slowdown in the summer while volunteers and donors are on vacation, students are out of school, and employees take much deserved time off...But not Child Foundation!

Summer is when we prepare for the start of the school year to ensure our sponsored children have what they need for a successful academic year. This year we will introduce a few new programs where we will share their details in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, if there are any summer festivals in your town, please let us know so we can participate and let others know about our various international humanitarian programs.

I also like to invite you to visit our waiting list of children and support one of them in their academic endeavors.

Thanks for Making us Proud!

Our students not only excel in academics, but many are doing outstanding things outside of the classroom, including in the field of sport.

Ahmed is a graduate student in the field of English instruction who is visually impaired. In June he competed in the 100 meter at the 2018 Para Swimming World Series in Berlin, Germany. He was successful in walking away with a bronze medal in the 100-meter butterfly as well as the 4x100 meters medley relay. Overall 44 teams from 44 countries competed.

In 2015, Ahmed helped his team win second and third place in the 4x100 meters medley relay in Poland.

Abolfazl , a talented student from Shahr-e Kord, won the silver medal in Taekwondo in the provincial championship. Abolfazl is a fifth-grade student who has successfully competed throughout his academic year while maintaining excellent grades.

Abulfazl also received the bronze and silver medal in the junior’s Taekwondo team competition in Last year’s championship held in Shahr-e Kord.

Reyhaneh is a fourteen year old from Kashan. She is a talented seventh grader who completed the previous year with an 18.43 GPA.

Reyhaneh does not have her father in her life. She lives with her mother and brother who has been forced to discontinue his education to work and help the family. The family lives in their grandmother’s home. Reyhaneh’s mother works hard to provide for them, however her meager wages are not enough to provide for the family. Reyhaneh is a talented and intelligent girl. She has the potential to become a successful woman. With the right support, she can finish her education, attend university, and attain all her dreams.

Upon reviewing Reyhaneh’s case, Child Foundation is honored to grant this talented student with a monthly scholarship of $63 to allow her to pursue her education. Join us in creating a better tomorrow and lowering compulsory school dropout rates.

You can be one of Reyhaneh’s heroes starting at $30 a month.

To preserve the privacy of the children and their families, Child Foundation will only provide details of each child to their designated sponsor.

Mohammad Hossein is an eight year old from Shahreh-Kord. Despite the many difficulties in his life, he is a successful student who completed the previous academic year with high marks. Mohammad Hossein does not have his father in his life and lives with his mother and younger brother. They live far from the city in a home that lacks basic amenities. Mohammad Hossein is a talented student who with the right support has the potential to become successful. He can change his destiny and make an impact on the lives of many.

Helping Reunited Children and Parents

You have seen the images and read the stories - many families in central America have been forced to leave behind all that they have known to escape violence and severe poverty. After a treacherous journey, thousands of families seeking asylum have seen their children forcefully taken from the arms once they have reached the U.S. border.

Child Foundation is teaming up with local charities in Texas and Arizona to help these children reunite with their parents. To help, please donate generously to our refugee's fund here .

Charity Navigator, the most respected nonprofit watchdogs, has added Child Foundation to its list of most trusted and outstanding charities for donating to this new refugee crisis.

Summer Festivities!

Summer festivals and events are about to begin all over the country. If you wish to represent Child Foundation in any of these events, please contact us and we will provide you with the necessary marketing materials.

Volunteers are Child Foundation’s backbone. Many of our programs would not be made possible without the selfless help of these individuals.
