Coping with the loss of a pet
Tuesdays, May 16th, June 20 and July 11th

Losing a beloved pet is a profoundly sad experience that has a lasting effect on every family member. The Southington Public Library is partnering with Southington  Community Pet Loss Support (COPES) to offer a series of free programs to help those who are dealing with the loss of a pet.

Southington COPES is a community support group started by volunteers from the surrounding veterinary community and the Southington Community Services to help ease the overwhelming sense of loss when a pet dies.

This group is an opportunity to work through a beloved pet's death with a supportive community of pet lovers. This program will offer people the chance to share different experiences and perspectives in a supportive group setting designed to help attendees through their journey of loss and grief. Please bring a photo and a story to share. Attendees are welcome to come to one or more of these three programs.
