The new administrative information systems under Cornerstone are now scheduled to go live on October 3, 2016 for procurement (SciQuest); October 8, 2016 for human resources and payroll (PeopleSoft); and on October 10, 2016 for financial management and expense management (Oracle Cloud).
Upgrading our systems will significantly improve how we work and collaborate across the University. The project teams are ramping up their efforts to transition data between systems. This includes a blackout period for transactions in the existing systems, and the conversion of open purchase orders to the new procurement system.
This transition will be a disruption to normal business operations. There is no good time to shut down access to the systems. Be assured that we are making every effort to minimize the downtime, while ensuring the data is converted accurately. We urge all schools, departments and units to process transactions and conduct activities in the systems as early as possible before the deadlines.
We will send weekly emails to remind you to continue to plan ahead and manage transactions according to the schedule. We have been working closely with business managers in all schools, departments and units to ensure a smooth transition to the new systems. If you have questions about the transition schedule or purchase order conversion process, please contact the business manager for your school, department or unit.
