6:45-8:30pm: Head inside Mordechai Main Stadium for an exciting game -- Ma-ariv and a full Megillah reading packed with baseball action for all!

KEVA - A Meditative Service 10:30am- 12:00pm Shabbas March 21 please join us for a singing service, lay led, and Torah study in small groups. This is creative service that is relaxed. Lunch afterwards. Rabbi Greenstein started this service years ago, and we are continuing this alternative service. VOLUNTEER  
Neveh Knits and Crochets group -March 8, 9:45am, Board Room. Beginners and all skill levels are invited to join in. You can learn to knit or crochet, bring and work on your own project, or choose a project for charity knitting - for neonatal units at hospitals, simple warm items for the homeless, or purple newborn baby hats to promote awareness of how to patiently comfort babies during crying periods.

Mazal tov to Ai Okada and David Gershon on the birth of their daughter, Mia Beth Gershon, was born 2nd of Adar (2/21). She is a beautiful 7 lbs 2 oz and 21". Mother and daughter are resting well. Big brother Daniel is warming up to his sister. Grandparents Yasu & Yoko Okada and Sam & Beth Gershon are thrilled.

*Join PSU Judaic Studies professor Natan Meir on an unforgettable Jewish heritage trip to Poland, the Baltics, and Russia this summer! We will visit sites of Jewish historical and cultural interest in Warsaw, Lodz, Lublin, Vilna, Riga, and St. Petersburg. Natan will give a talk every morning that will provide the historical context for that day's itinerary. A group is forming in Portland under the aegis of the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland. Camp Solomon Schechter and Neveh Shalom Camper Incentive Scholarship deadlines are March 1st!

There are three scholarship opportunities for campers and their families:

  • First-time campers from Neveh Shalom are eligible for $180 off their first summer's tuition.  Apply directly through CSS at info@campschechter.org  to apply for the CNS Judith and Garry Kahn Camp Fund. 
  • Neveh Shalom offers need-based scholarships to members who attend Camp Solomon Schechter. All returning and first-time campers are eligible to apply. First-time campership recipients may combine funds with CNS scholarships. Download scholarship forms here.
  • First-time campers from the Greater Portland area who are attending Aleph Rishon, Bet or Gimmel at CSS are eligible for a One Happy Camper (OHC) campership of up to $1,000, and there are even some available for Jewish day school families!  OHC is funded for Portland-area families by the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland in partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camp. Register for OHC at http://www.jewishcamp.org/one-happy-camper (Note: OHC available for a wide array of overnight Jewish camps. Check Foundation for Jewish Camp website for all overnight camp eligibility).
