The Kitsap Business Forum will present lively, interactive table discussions on a variety of business challenges related to themes such as organizational culture, leadership, diversity, accountability and more. Shannon Bruce, Excell Puget Sound, will host several local business leaders. Jan Harrison of JHarrison Solutions, Dan Weedin of Toro Consulting, and other popular speakers return to the Forum to facilitate on topics they presented earlier in the year.
Attendees will have an opportunity to share ideas with one another and discover best practices, while leaving with solutions to real business challenges.
The forum is held at Best Western Plus, 3073 NW Bucklin Hill Road, Silverdale. Networking begins at 7 a.m.; the program starts at 7:30 a.m. and finishes at 9 a.m.

On October 12th KEDA presented a robust program on International Trade & Foreign Direct Investment which featured a keynote address from Sam Kaplan, principal of Gittes Global, and former president of the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle; a panel of Kitsap businesses who are engaged in international trade; and local developer, Wes Larson of Sound West Group discussing foreign direct investment.

Vibe Coworks has leased a 5,300-square-foot space in the top floor of a new commercial building planned on Eighth Avenue, according to a news release.

Kitsap contributes to a global footprint
Three years ago, Kitsap County joined forces with its regional partners (Snohomish, King and Pierce Counties) to participate in the Global Cities Initiative, a joint project of the Brookings Institute and JP Morgan Chase, aimed at leveraging the Greater Seattle Region's strength in international trade to enhance direct foreign investment in our regional economy. I want to thank Brookings and JPMC for their investment of time, expertise, and money into bolstering international trade and investment opportunities in our region.
This past month community and business leaders from throughout
Kitsap gathered at the Clearwater Resort to learn of the results of our region's joint efforts, as well as to benchmark current levels of international trade and investment activities in our four-county region, and specifically in Kitsap. We also explored ways our local businesses can participate in rapidly expanding international commerce.
