Dr. Daniel Nelson, head of the Laboratory of Antimicrobial Discovery at the University of Maryland will talk about  proteins that are part of the bacteriophage lytic system which represent an alternative approach to conventional antibiotics.  At Universities at Shady Grove, 5-7pm.

Come and celebrate worldwide Arduino Day 2017 on April 1 (11am to 3pm) at Studio i Makerspace!  See demos, talk to Arduino enthusiasts, and find out how to build projects with Arduino microcontrollers. 

Studio i is on the 2nd floor of the Rockville Memorial Library, 21 Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. You can park in the Rockville Town Square garages and bring your ticket to the library to be be validated for up to 2 hours of free parking.

Join us for the 28th annual Rockville Science Day at Montgomery College on April 23 from noon to 5pm. We've got a great lineup of hands-on exhibits and demos, from robots to rocket-making, telescope viewing to chemistry demos to math games, reptiles to homing pigeons and more!  All ages welcome.
