PEOPLE  ARE TELLING US
WHAT'S ON THE #CorrineWishList
Thanks to everybody who has already participated in our outreach for the Corrine Drive Complete Streets Study. In the past month, we have met with residents and businesses to provide information about this study, which is expected to wrap up in Spring 2018. MetroPlan Orlando is leading the study in coordination with Orange County, City of Orlando, and City of Winter Park. Our goal is to understand and improve transportation options on Corrine, emphasizing a Complete Streets approach that accommodates people of all ages and abilities.

We have been delighted to see the interest, and we hope you'll continue to help us identify situations and opportunities along the corridor. In this update, we fill you in on our data collection efforts and continue asking for your support in taking our survey, helping us connect at local events and by using #CorrineWishList in social media conversations.

WE'LL BE COLLECTING DATA
IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

You may notice the traffic count devices.

Data collection is a major part of the first phase of the Corrine Drive Complete Streets Study. Current transportation data will help shape the study by: identifying needs and problem areas; informing possible design solutions; and providing information for the community. We'll collect data May 1-7, using several types of devices. For information on how we'll be collecting traffic data and to look at maps of where collectors will be stationed, see the "Data Collection in the Corridor" section of the study page at:
CorrineDriveStudy.org

PLEASE TAKE THE SURVEY
Share your thoughts on the corridor.

About 1,000 people, so far, have taken our survey to tell us what they envision for Corrine Drive. We're traveling around to events with iPads ready to record responses, but you can also answer the questions online at home. If you've already taken the survey, please share the link with neighbors and friends. The survey closes May 30. We appreciate your time!
REACHING OUT TO BUSINESSES
We're talking to merchants about goals.

Corrine Drive is home to about 45 small businesses and eateries, so our community conversations definitely extend to the businesses that give the corridor much of its character. We are reaching out to every business owner and landlord along Corrine. We want to learn more about your issues and opportunities related to transportation. To share your thoughts with us, please contact Elizabeth Whitton ewhitton@metroplanorlando.org
WHAT'S NEXT FOR THE STUDY

As we collect traffic data in May, and we'll continue our outreach to residents and businesses in the corridor. We'll use the technical information we've collected and the survey results, to prepare for our public workshop on existing conditions sometime this summer. We plan to have another email update out to you in late May -- just before our survey closes. Thanks for staying in touch with the Corrine Drive Complete Streets Study.
