THE "THINKING COACH"

A good friend of mine once told me that I am "very busy in my head." I instantly knew exactly what he meant. I tend to have a million thoughts and ideas swirling through my head at all times and I spend a LOT of my personal time thinking. Often, I find that my thinking gets clogged up
and when this happens I use my two favorite tools to get my mind clear:
  1. Journaling
  2. Talking to a "Thinking Coach"
Journaling has always been one of my favorite ways to clear my mind and I have spent thousands of hours journaling my thoughts. I rarely re-read my journaling because it is the clarity of journaling that I am seeking.

While I really enjoy my journaling time, I have come to appreciate having a  Thinking Coach even more. A  Thinking Coach is someone who is trained to listen, reflect and ask questions in a way that helps others think better and become really clear about what they are thinking and feeling. Often a Thinking Coach will help others identify what they really want in any given situation and will help them figure out a great strategy to get it. A Thinking Coach will usually be more interested in helping others find their  own best solutions but will also offer their own ideas and suggestions.
